This guide explains the MC-1E protocol for connecting PLCs and industrial devices to the EG Edge Gateway. It is part of the Protocol Hub, focusing on industrial communication standards and data exchange.
1. Connessione hardware
Compatible PLC: FX-3U Series
The MC-1E protocol uses Ethernet communication, so it is only necessary to ensure that the gateway’s LAN port and the Mitsubishi PLC’s IP address are on the same subnet.

Indirizzo: Enter the PLC address, in this example 192.168.3.40
Porto: Enter the PLC connection port, in this example 5001

3.2 Impostazioni dei punti dati
Inserire i punti dati da leggere nell'elenco dei parametri del nodo Mitsubishi. Una volta inseriti i punti dati, il gateway leggerà automaticamente i dati del PLC alla frequenza impostata.

In this example, data at D-type addresses is read. In the parameter list, fill in the Indirizzo / Nome / Tipo di dati / Lunghezza dei dati in sequenza. La lettura viene eseguita in un ciclo di 2 secondi, come illustrato nella figura.
3.3 Test
Cliccare Distribuire, and observe that a data entry is printed every 2 seconds. Check that the read data matches the actual values. Communication is successful!
