MQTT Subscribe/Publish
The MQTT Publish node is used to send messages to the specified Topic. The MQTT Subscription node is used to receive messages for the specified Topic.
HTTP Listen/Respond
The HTTP Listening node creates an HTTP server to receive HTTP requests, and the HTTP Response node is responsible for responding to requests.
HTTP Request
The HTTP Request node is the HTTP client mode. Send HTTP requests and return responses, supporting GET, PUT, POST, DELETE and other modes.
TCP IN/OUT
The EG8200 series edge computing gateways support both TCP server and TCP client, and there is no limit on the number of connections.
TCP Client-Side
Sends msg.payload to the specified TCP server and expects a response. A connection is initiated only when a message is entered.
UDP
UDP IN indicates the data received by the gateway and UDP OUT indicates the data sent by the gateway.
Siemens node support protocols: S7, PPI. PPI only supports some older PLCs, and S7 communication is strongly recommended.
Protocols supported by Mitsubishi nodes: EtherNet/IP, MC (3C/1E/3E), FX.
The Omron node supports the following protocols: Fins, EtherNet/IP, HostLink.
Protocols supported by the Beckhoff node: Ads.
Protocol supported by the Invance node: Modbus RTU/TCP.
Protocols supported by Panasonic nodes: MC-3E, Mewtocol, Mewtocol TCP.
Protocols supported by AllenBradley node: EtherNet/IP, MicroCIP, DF1.
The Keyence node supports the following protocols: MC-3E, KV TCP, and KV Serial.
Protocol supported by the Delta node: Modbus RTU/TCP.
Server(Item) Node
The “Server” node is used to convert the data collected by the EG8200 edge computing gateway into OPC UA-compliant data that is temporarily stored locally for OPC UA clients on the LAN.
The auxiliary software [UaExpert] can be used to visualize the data content within the “Server” node.
Client(Item) Node
The Client node is used to communicate with the OPC UA server. It supports anonymous login and user name and password login, but does not support encrypted links.
1. OPC UA Simulation Server can be simulated by using auxiliary software [Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server].
2. The auxiliary software [UaExpert] can be used to scan the variables on the server.
BACnet Read/Write
The BACnet Read/Write node is used to read and write BACnet devices on the same LAN as the EG8200 edge computing gateway.
Assistant Software: BACnetScan enables you to scan for BACnet devices and objects on the network where the gateway resides.
Assistant Software: Multiple BACnet devices can be simulated using the BACnet Device Simulator

You are not advised to use a file read/write node without an SD card, because it consumes the eMMC read/write life of the system disk.

Sequential Database
If the EG8200 edge computing gateway is inserted into an SD card, the InfluxDB database is automatically installed and stored in the SD card. If no SD card is inserted, the local InfluxDB database cannot be created, and the Read Timing Database node cannot be used. However, you can communicate with InfluxDB database on a remote network, for example, InfluxDB database exists on a LAN. InfluxDB is a high-performance database designed for storing time series data, making it ideal for storing historical data.
MODBUS Read/Write/Service
Modbus Read is used to read data over Modbus RTU/Modbus TCP. Modbus Write is used to write data over Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP. Modbus Service is used for the Modbus RTU/Modbus TCP server, that is, the slave station. The register address can be customized.
S7 Read/Write Data
“S7 Read Data” “S7 Write data” “S7 Advanced Read” support to read and write the data of Siemens series PLCs with S7 protocol, and the Siemens PLCs that have been tested so far are S7-200 Smart, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, S7-1500. Import and export data points in batches.
MODBUS Request/Resolution
Modbus is divided into three communication modes: Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP and Modbus ASCII. The “Modbus Request” and “Modbus parsing” nodes are only used for Modbus RTU communication.
DLT645
The EG8200 edge computing gateway supports reading and writing energy meters that meet DL/T 645-2007. You can configure multiple data to be collected in the DLT645 node and trigger data collection by entering messages.
