How it’s set up – three parts:

  • On-site: The EG8200Mini connects to PLCs and serial devices through RS485/RS232/Ethernet.

  • Rede: The gateway uses 4G CAT1 to connect to the cloud.

  • Platform: IOTClient handles remote configuration, remote programming, remote dashboards, and NAT traversal.

  1. Connect the wires. Plug the EG8200Mini’s RS485 to the PLC’s 485 port – A to A, B to B. Or use an Ethernet cable if that’s easier. Insert a 4G SIM card and power on the device.
  2. Log in. Open bridge.iotrouter.com in a browser, create an account, and sign in.
  3. Add the gateway. On the platform, enter the device’s SN – the gateway will automatically come online.
  4. Set up data collection. Go to the gateway’s admin page, open Node‑RED, drag and drop nodes, connect them, and set the protocol parameters.
